Greetings from Riverbend Park

Paul had Friday off for a company employee appreciation day, which he and I both appreciated! So we slept late, did some organizing around the house -- now we know there's more correspondence and kids' art hidden in Adam's closet that needs to be sorted and scanned -- and went to Riverbend Park, which has a nest built by two eagles that presumably has babies, though none of them made an appearance while we were there. We did see mergansers, buffleheads, Canada geese, mallards, seagulls, and a very busy muskrat in the river, though, plus turtles and a rescued woodpecker in the nature center!

We were going to have something festive for dinner, but we've been trying to order new phones and had to spend a lot of time arguing with Verizon about trade-ins, using device dollars, etc. It got so late that we wound up coming home and making veggie chick'n soup from a can with peanut butter toast. Then we caught up on Superman and Lois, which keeps making me almost-like it, then getting over-involved in some soap opera family drama so that I'm not even sure I want to keep watching. We just watched an episode of Murderville that was like a bad comedy sketch skit and I still enjoyed it more!
