Greetings from Poolesville

Sunday was as nice a day as Saturday, a bit warmer but not humid. I spent the morning cleaning the master bathroom now that we can get the new tub and shower wall wet -- there was residual dust from the installation and also everything needed to be cleaned anyway -- then after lunch we went to Homestead Farm to pick apples and see the farm animals. The squash and pumpkins are beginning to ripen and the Halloween decorations are beginning to appear. On the way home, we stopped at the McKee-Beshers Wildlife Area to see frogs, turtles, and an egret in the wetlands.

We stopped at the Giant in Potomac Village on the way home too for garbage bags, cheddar, and the inevitable cat food, then came home and had Hungarian meatballs for dinner. We also watched some tennis and some football, caught up on Fantasy Island, watched Last Week Tonight (it feels like John Oliver has been angrier about football than Texas abortion law), and tried to pretend the Baltimore game -- whose score confused us when it first flashed up because it looked more like a football loss, 22-7, but the Ravens weren't playing -- didn't happen to the poor Orioles.
